The International Labour Research and Information Group (ILRIG) will be holding its 18th Annual Political School in September 2021 in Johannesburg and October 2021 in Cape Town.
TOPIC: SA Unrest – How do we understand what happened?
The school will consist of open plenary sessions, activist platforms, cultural events and closed classes. Besides providing an opportunity for organisations to share experiences and perspectives around the unrest, we will also be analysing the causes and what this moment means for both our society and our struggles. We will also be looking at the new waves of struggles that have recently developed in Southern Africa.
A key aim of this school is to develop perspectives of counter culture, a politics of inclusion and broader emancipatory politics.
Johannesburg School: 26-30 September 2021
Cape Town School: 10-14 October 2021
Please note that due to COVID-19 and constraints around numbers, attendance is by invitation only.
